History
Long ago, the Capsicum Caverns were inhabited by fire dragons.[1] At some point, they were all burned to death by monsters[2] and their skeletons remained in the caves. One dragon left behind its soul in the form of the fire millennium gummy, while the other dragons' eggs were taken by eggkeepers in a futile effort to hatch them.
Trivia
- In Jalapeño Wastelands, Nyokumamu's warning of a fire dragon named "Scargot" is actually a mistranslation. Capsicum Caverns' Japanese name is Fire Dragon Den・Scargot (火竜の巣・スカルゴ), which was misinterpreted in the English localization as being the name of a fire dragon.[3] In Japanese, no such dragon exists.[4]
Nomenclature
Its name comes from capsicum, chili peppers cultivated in the Americas.
