Sentry mk 2, known in Japan as robot class lv 2,[a] is an enemy fought in the Quiet Plateau on Erd in Magical Starsign. It appears in formations of two and four in scripted battles.
Despite having the earth starsign, sentry mk 2 do not possess any spells. They have three physical skills. Rocket Punch damages a single member of the party. Acquire target allows the sentry mk 2 to lock on to a single party member, allowing any sentry mk 2 to perform Rocket Punch XL on that member.[1][2]
Robots don't care about basic courtesy. These robots will attack you without even so much as a simple "hello." They vary in strength depending on their level.
After activating the power to the gates on Erd at Where the Stars Sleep, the protagonist and Lassi were ambushed by two sentry mk 2 units. After defeating them, they continued moving. This was short-lived, however, as they were ambushed by another two sentry mk 2 units after arriving at the northmost gate of the Quiet Plateau. After defeating them for a second time, they ventured to the Kahve Ruins. Upon arriving at the entrance, four additional sentry mk 2 units snuck behind them, but were defeated all the same.[1]
Trivia
Their bestiary entry claims that they vary in strength depending on their level, but they are incapable of being any level other than 5. This is likely rather alluding to the sentry mk 1 and sentry mk 3 units.
