Golden bats are identical in appearance to atomic firebats, save for the fact that they are golden.[1]
Gameplay
Golden bats have the light starsign, gaining an aura during the day. They have the spell blinding light, which deals damage to every member of the party which the potential to inflict blind. They can also use the physical skill toothy chomp, striking a single party member.[2]
This bat shines so brightly, it can illuminate the darkest of caves. Wear one like a hat if you need a mining helmet. Warning: it will probably eat your head.
Trivia
Golden bats are the only enemy to be found exclusively in the Phunnel Pit.
